Why does soaking in hose make contact lenses consistency like chalice?
I certainly don't form a habit of this, but once every so normally (when I run out of saline) I've had to soak my soft contacts within plain water. The subsequent day they look and be aware of ok, but when I put them in --- OMG --- they're close to razor blades! Why is this?
Answer:
It's probably the chlorine in the wet. I've had to do it when I've run out of solution and be to lazy to turn to the store, so I feel your misery.
