First i'll read out CONGRATs.. on the whole guitar erudition thing... i've be playing for about 15 years and hold had oodles different times with sore fingers ;) ... i recomend when you play to play as much as you can in need stopping... if you stop for a while inbetween playing you will notice your fingers will hurt more the second time around... only play as much as you can take everyday and you will gain your callouses :) ... then you can play as much and as long near minimal or no pain :).... hold fun and don't give up ;)

Anything I can do for my posterior problems?

I've been playing the viola for years. You can try icing the fingers to dull the headache. However, when you play long enough, your fingers will gain tougher and it won't hurt to play anymore.

My friend has a complex lump which is painful when she presses it wide in her calf muscle - any concept what it is?

PLAY THROUGH THE PAIN AND LOVE IT!!

Is it weird that?

Play through it - try to toughen them up to callus, then you won't enjoy any pain. If you can't play guitar for for a moment while and want to keep your callus up so that you don't hurt yourself the next time you turn back, you can use a really small grit size of sand treatise, and work them over your fingers. THAT'S commitment.

Rock on!

Keep playing. You (and your fingers) will return with used to it. In time thick skin call callous will form on your finger tips and the muscles in your hand will get strong and no longer hurting. Until then it's pretty much ''No niggle, no gain!''. Stay away from soaking your hands as this will suspension the callous skin from forming prolonging your agony. If you practice every morning for an hour or so you should be pain free and calloused up surrounded by two weeks! Good luck!

am i doing it wrong?

I'm an on and off guitarist for years and I progress through this problem all the time as I build and lose callouses.

I in actuality don't recommend playing through the pain, that only just makes it worse. I recommend each day practice while gradually building up the time you can play until you build up your callouses.

While you enjoy an actual blister and if it is fluid-filled you should cut a tiny hole in the edge of it beside a sharp scalpel or sharp scissors and drain the fluid. Try to keep the skin intact and permit it heal a bit formerly you play again. It will only whip a day or two. Happy playing!
