What I have used is some type of scare cream, cover it up right after you cut it then hold the bandaid off (continue beside the cream) and let it dry out. There are some crems that dwindle scaring.

Its not so much band aid as using a neopsorin emulsion, protect it from the sun for a few months.Keep it clean. dry and disappear it alone. Band-aids keep wounds moist and hold longer to heal that style. And when a wound is moist you are more likely to achieve an infection. Band aids are really just to aid bleeding.
Being a mother of three active boys, I'd hold to say trimming aid plus plenty of neosporin anti-scaring cream!

You didn't say how long it is,or if you get stitches.No stitches- you can use what are called steri-strips they will hold the sides of the cut together so it heal cleaner and causes smaller amount scarring.
Stitches- you have to skulk until they are removed then you can rub vitamin E on it after the scab have fallen sour.
Just make sure any way not to remove the scab as it will result in scarring.

you should wear a band aid until the cut is mostly heal and use neosporan or something to that affect to minimize scarring; be careful not to use too much(just a dab) because it will net your cut worse.
