It's enormously quick and really doesn't hurt, you'll quality a slight pinch. Tell the lab tech it's your first time and she'll know how to keep you populated when she/he does it. Blood tests are assured. It feels merely like a shot (that annoying little prick) except the syringe stays in for close to a minute or two. If you want the process to be quick and natural, don't look, and once it's in and they start in actual fact collecting blood, open and and close your appendage into a fist to get the blood moving through your arm. But its over so fast, most of what you'll grain is heat.To prepare youself for the in-the-arm check, do this: Pinch yourself with your fingernail. There. You hold now hurt yourself worse than the blood experiment will. You'll feel a tiny pinch, smaller number than when you pinch yourself, and then it will have a feeling like someone is pressing (not stabbing!) a toothpick against the outside of your skin.
Thinking of it this instrument helps. Just because the skin breaks, that doesn't imply it'll hurt any worse. You can hurt yourself much worse without even drawing blood. Imagine the hypodermic entering the vein but not touching the bottle.
Both blood tests are much, much, much better than a bee sting or stubbing your toe.
PS--I am a wimp. I aversion pain, and I don't suppose blood tests are a big matter. ^_^
