The pain seem to be getting worse over time. It was first notice about 3 months ago. Could it be a bone or something else and how is it treated?

There are many reason for lateral foot pain - stress fracture, neuroma, etc. You shouldn't be surrounded by pain so long - see the doctor, not the computer!@ Good luck.
