sometimes i get this misery in one of my fingers, where on earth whenever i extend it, it gives me this sharp spasm.

so i am unable to extend my finger for a few minutes, until the torment goes away. it simply hurts when i try to extend it, otherwise i feel no dull pain at all.

does this transpire for anyone else, or does anyone know why i get this?

I'd recommend that you see a doctor. It could be corpal tunnel (sp?) or arthritis or something. Better to carry it checked out than have it turn into something more serious.
