It is possible to dislocate the floating cartilage by yawning, but yawning will not be the root incentive of a chronic problem. TMJ is likely to blame, and near are a lot of things going on near the cervical spine and its relationship to the skull and the jaw and collar muscles.
Are there any plastic surgeons contained by Houston that has salary plans?
I'm a nurse, no but something else could be wrong with your chin, see a doctor.I think I know what you have it in mind. It could be your TMJ joint and you may want to hold it looked at. I once opened my mouth big to bite a burger and my mouth get stuck and it hurt, and the doc said this could happen from time to time. It only pops, or gets stuck for a second and sometimes in that can be pain, but it usually resolves surrounded by a minute or two.
Good Luck!
If I yawn to big my jaw will pop inappropriate. So I would say yes although I am not a dr.
Uhh... Beavis is bleeding, what do I do?
No, you can't dislocate it to my know-how, but if you are having problems near it "popping" when you yawn it could be TMJ. You should see a doctor.Sounds to me close to TMJ. You will want to take thinking of this as soon as possible due to the fact that it can make happen many problems. Call your dentist or doctor.
