when u crack ur knuckles you create a refusal pressure inside the joint. b/c of this gas comes out of the fluid inwardly the joint. this gas is nitrogen gas, and is slowly reabsorbed support into the fluid, this is why u cannot pop/crack ur knuckles within say aloud 20 min of the time you did it. The same goes for other similar joint in the body. Think of it this instrument. When you open a shaken pop bottle, the gas comes out of the fluid and make a noise. you couldn't do this again without delay (unless u closed and shook the bottle again). This process of gas release from fluid within the reciprocated is called a cavitation. Cavitation also refers to the process of nouns bubbles that come up from behind a prop on a boat....merely a little extra info.

How do you relax strained eye muscles, I a moment ago went to an opthamologist today and she said everything is perfec

That's cracking nouns is caused from the ligaments popping over the bone. Think of it similar to snapping rubber bands. The ligaments hold the bones together and the more your crack them the weaker the ligaments become.
