My wife's feet and calves are swelling up lately. What cause this?

She really need's to go to her doctor.If her foot and calves are swelling she is retaining water for some justification..

Possibly hypertension(high blood pressure) my mother's calves used to swell and retain water when her blood pressure be really high. Just a thought...

The same symptoms drove me to the Doctor several years ago. I was diagnosed beside diabetes. I hope it isn't the case but if she is have any loss of feeling or tingling in her legs and foot it needs to be checked out yesterday...I'll transmit you straight up, diabetes is NO FUN at all but neuropothy is even smaller quantity. Neuropothy is nerve injury brought on by out of control sugar level in the blood.
Just don't try to keep on for it to get better. If it is diabetes and neuropothy, it won't win better. The only agency is down so go see the Dr. as soon as you possibly can.

If she's over 60 I'd be concerned around congestive heart failure. If she's that age field have her see a doctor asap.
