Depends on the guitar. If it cost you more than $500 I would recommend against it since it may have a lacquer finish.
Otherwise you probably hold a urethane or epoxy finish which is impervious to just almost everything- paint remover won't even take it bad. Your owners manual should donate you a hint on cleaning... lately use their recommended cleaner.

Do not use rubbing alcohol on a guitar. Any germs he have would be dried by now and not a problem. Wash your hand after you play it if you are that concerned.Why do cramps sometimes happen for no judgment and hurt alot especially in the foot?
don't put rubbing alcohol on your prized guitar, it will de-ice the finish! I would polish the guitar well and alter the strings. hope this helps from a fellow guitar lover.DON'T THE COLOR MIGHT COME OFF.
