In 2000, only 10% of those beside Associate Degrees earned more than $50,000 per year, while 16% of BSN's, and a whopping 40% of MSN's earn more than $50,000. This shows the powerful effect on earnings potential when you pursue advanced nursing schooling.
According to the same study, unknown RNs average $16.24/hour, while a new LPN earn $11.88/hour. The numbers vary moderately a bit by geography however, as the following data shows:
