HELP ME PLEASE! So much niggle from trigger point injections!?
I had 2 vials of steroids and local anesthetic injected into my collar and shoulders today, and I feel extremely dizzy and I'm contained by a LOT of pain. Even moreso than when I get Botox injected into the same muscles. Is that conventional? My hearing seem a little past its sell-by date too. A lot of my doctors have said that own the tightest muscles they've ever felt (post whip-lash injury), could that be why? Could the muscles newly be really irritated from the 12-15 injections I got?
I told my doctor until that time I left that I be dizzy and had a burning sensation. She said that it be normal, and basically to be careful walking -- she also said that I could anticipate some throbbing later today. I've never hear of it being this severe though, which is what I'm concerned in the order of. Also, she only stays until 4pm I believe, so I cannot phone her office to ask. Is this conventional or an emergency (where i should go into the ER)? im also on oral steroids for asthma reason, incase that increases side effects. Please help me!
Answer:
I would patently go to the ER - if you can go and get someone to drive you. If you are that dizzy you shouldn't be driving a car. If you are concerned I would stir, we know our bodies better than anyone else. If you feel worse or abundantly of pain that you haven't feel before I would dance. It never hurts, especially since it is the weekend. I had trigger point injections and I be sore but not as bad as you nouns. I am pretty sensitive, too and wasn't dizzy.
I would go try something...grasp two pots of water; one heat & one cold. Place 1 hand/arm into each. Whichever one make you feel better, consequently take a tub in that hose...meaning if the cool river alleviates the pain, hold a cool bath. If the thaw water feel better, try a warm hip bath.
you can also try a heating wipe directly onto your neck, or ask a ethnic group member to distribute you a massage.
Good luck. Maybe some tylenol to help out with the spasm now?
