the wound heals from the inside out. here is alot of manipulation during a hernia repair so the soreness is normal. the incision will also be sore for a while...until it heal. every day will find better if you are following doctor's orders...it will probably filch a couple of weeks...keep up beside the ibuprophen...but it will get better. honourable luck.
Both my fiance and my ex husband have the same. Lasted relatively a few months in their cases.

i had an op 3 years ago for an inguinal hernia and the scaris still fairly tender, not all the time but never the smaller number still gives me jip! and my groin is still numb from where on earth they cut tendons not sure if thats correct either!Depending on how voluminous the scar is? It could pinch up to 2 weeks. There is scar tissue, and medicinal from inside, out that has to mend. If the wound become infected see your doctor right away.

I had both sides done for inguinial Hernias going on for 6 months between ops, Both times the soreness was within for about 3-4 weeks but I didn't call for pills for pain nouns after the 3rd week.
I be only sore for roughly speaking a week, you should go rear to the doctor. My hernia is fixed and I can't even find a scar (thet go in throught my belly button, same blotch as my gallbladder).
