Anybody got any warning on stopping smoking?
Answer:
Throw away all cigarettes and do not buy an emergency pack.
Get your principal into the right frame of mind.
Write a list of adjectives the reasons you want to furnish up and put it up somewhere where it is seen by you frequently.
Take respectively day as it comes - soon at a time. The cravings seem to come a bit approaching a contraction (if youve had a newborn youll understand, lol, giving of like a flounder coming over you - so ride them out. Keep busy in the first week - its a hard one.
Throw away ashtrays and stay away from your friends / inherited who are smokers - they will tempt you too much.
If willpower alone doesnt help try patch, gum, lozenges - all the different types of replacement dream therapy but dont get hooked on them - you do enjoy to wean off them too.
Visit a lung cancer part at the hospital or view metaphors / stories on the internet of what people hold gone through / died of because of smoking.
Join a NHS or local support group. There are also telephone give support to lines.
Do something really special with the money you collect and keep a diary/journal of your experience. Maybe start your own website.
It is unyielding and it is hell sometimes but if you manage you will surface great about yourself.

Yes if you ever have to impart up anything you must replace that time with something else to thieve your mind off it. My house, drawers,cupboards, etc have never been so tidy! I attached a gym and went swimming etc. Don't newly sit there or you will chomp through or start smoking again..
Whenever you get the urge, drink grapefruit liquid and then smoke. It will build cigarettes taste bad, and you will have a Pavlovian memory that you aversion cigarettes. Worked like a charm for me.
I've not long quit smoking myself. I just stopped buying them. Do you enjoy kids? Look at them and they'll give you plenty reason to quit. My parents both smoke, and my dad have some pretty bad breathing issues because of it. He asked me to quit for him everytime I lit one around him. He's be smoking for years and is too addicted to quit, but he didn't want me to end up resembling him. So this past Christmas, I quit as my present to him and my Mom. He said it be the best present he's ever gotten, and I'm glad I could give it to him. With the price of a pack going up so much, I'm sure there's better things you could spend your money on. Get your hair/nails done near that money that you would usually spend in a month, or reclaim it up for something you've been wanting for a while to reward yourself.
Always leave your cigs. and lighter within another room when at home. Throw away all your ash trays. Suck on mints or chew gum. Keep yourself busy too busy to move about to the other room to get your cigs. Or a moment ago plain say I can do this and throw the cancer ridden things away and gain a fresh start. Good Luck
i stopped smoking a month ago and i feel so correct. i did it cold turkey. just focus on how great you be aware of and when you get the urge to smoke, wander, run, exercise. just look at it close to a wave cresting....only "ride out" the wave and after a bit, the urge to smoke will subside. you'll enjoy more energy, bring back less winded and your skin will develop. good luck...if i can do it, anyone can!

Do it, lost my mum & dad, and a third workmate died from the deathsticks lately before closing Christmas, he'd found the love of his life a few months in the past. With very little admonition beforehand, just started coughing up blood, died of lung cancer since he could get married.Yes because I quit 2 1/2 months ago. First you have to cold turkey it zilch else seems to work and most of adjectives you really have to want to quit. I chewed alot of gum and the best entity for the urges was drinking alot of hose down. Also do not make any big decision for about 1 week. After the first three days things will start to receive better and by the second week you will star to over come the urges easier. It is hard at times but after the 1st. month Istarted to forget almost it all together. It isn't that impossible but it really is up to you to really want to stop. Good luck and God bless.
I quit smoking almost two years ago, it be HARD! You have to start out have a reason to quit, after you have to lower the amount you smoke and slowly quit. And don't rout yourself up if you have a relapse, freshly resume quitting again. And no matter what anyone say, it does not help to set a date. Good luck!

If you are serrious about giving up smoking cart some good warning that worked for me.
I purchased a book called EASYWAY to stop smoking by Allan Carr. It costs in the region of lb7.00, and explains you need to know almost quitting. There are no shock tactics, no anyone treated like a child, purely good solid explanations as to why we smoked within the first place. I was a 30 a time smoker for 30 years, and i have not smoked presently for 4 weeks. I don't miss it, i dont need it, and i dont want it.
