Has anyone used hypnotherapy to end smoking? Has it worked?

If hypnotheray has worked, how plentiful sessions were required? Any other methods help you quit smoking?

I smoked a pack a daytime for 20 years. I went to a Hypnotist within 1994 It is a fallacy that you progress to sleep during hypnosis, I thought at the time it was a 'con' I feel so awake and yet my eyes started running and I couldnt wipe them. When he have finished (it was more or smaller amount a 'talking to' about the bad traditions of smoking etc,)anyway when he 'fetched me out of it" I be thinking what a waste of time. But, I go out of there, (one session mind you) took myself to a cafe (best place to enjoy a ciggie and a coffee as usual!!) got the coffee, and freshly couldnt lite up the cigarette..!!He had put into my chief how I would feel after only one drag , oh yuk, like licking an ashtray, totally revolting. Anyway, here I am 2007 never have another smoke, sometimes I feel similar to one even now, but consequently I go thru the motions of lighting up, and oh boy, the TASTE of it in my mind , yuk, and the wanting a cig have gone. It cost me 30 dollars (Australian) in those days, and the best 30 bucks I enjoy ever spent. GO FOR IT. (gotta find a good hypnotist tho)!!

Does anybody know anything almost the back twinge associated aith PTSD?

Yes it does work and it only took one session. Good luck!!!
