I have and it took me 6 months to look usual again and over 1 year in rehabilitation to get my thoughts as they should be...I still hold occasional misfires but for the most part the rehab have been successful (cognitive thru fantasy etc)

I had a friend who be hit by a car several years ago. He almost died and have damage to his brain stem. It looked unpromising for him. After a long time of therapy, he did grasp better and went pay for to playing guitar, which was remarkable because he could only just use his hand at adjectives. He does still and always will suffer from shortened memory and have a totally different personality. He be a pretty tough, mouthy guy. Hes now intensely soft spoken and sorry to say, cannot hold down a duty and lives on disability. That's how it was for him... hope this help.
