There could be several reason why your knee is inflamed; arthritis, sprain, cartilage split. At any rate, swelling indicates inflammation and a good home remedy is to whip ginger root (the real root you can find at a grocery store. By the style while you are there, gain some tofu, you'll need it later), grate it, place it surrounded by some cheesecloth and tie the top. This ball of grated ginger should be give or take a few the size of a baseball. Place the bag of ginger in 2 quarts of marine and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat, permit it simmer for 20 minutes. Squeeze out the bag of ginger, (careful it's hot!) next when you can stand to touch the water, put a washcloth surrounded by the ginger water. wring it out and place on your knees. When it begins to procure cool, dip it in the ginger hose again and place it back on the knees. After 20 minutes of this, (you are accelerating the blood flow to the area), you will consequently make a cold compress of the tofu. Remove the tofu from your refrigerator, crush 1/4 of the container of tofu and place in a significant piece of cheesecloth (large enough to cover the nouns you just heated next to the ginger water and washcloth), fold the cheesecloth over and close near a tie. You again have a purse, but a large one. Place over the knees for 20 minutes. This should help to gain rid of the swelling that is cause the discomfort in the knees. Don't throw the water or tofu away. Return the pouch of tofu to the fridge and cover the ginger water. They can both be reused several times up to that time you need to purchase tentative ones. Do this about 4 times a daylight for a few days, or until you achieve the desired results. Staying away from rugged salt (sea saline is okay but in small increments), beer, alcoholic beverages of any quality actually, and red meat will also backing your knee. Toxins from these foods and beverages settle in your knees area. Hope you have a feeling better.
Time to see a good doctor. You clearly are not suffering from a simple sprain. Something else is going on.
Best wishes and appropriate luck.
