Buscopan (trade name) (drug is hyoscine butylbromide). It is a Antispasmodic agent. See pharmacist since taking it though as you can not take if you hold certain intestinal and stomach problems or glaucoma or pregnant.

My girlfriend take two ibuprofen. A lot of times she avoids caffeine and chocolate a week before her monthly. Also she have been exercising and she said that have reduced her cramps to almost none. ibuprofen works best for nasty cramps (it's what i use and i enjoy had cramps so bad-they've land me on the couch for 2 days).take 200-400mg every 6 hours but no more than 1200mg contained by 24 hours. avoid caffeine about a week beforehand and during your period-this will help lessen the stomach-ache.
if you have time to on a lunch break (or do so after work) move about to the store and pick up these special heating pad made by playtex specifically for cramps. they are applied to the outside of your underwear and work off of your body's innate body heat. you can wear them for up to 8 hours and they are wonderful. you can even sleep next to them. they come in a box of 3 for something like 10 bucks. they should be wear all the feminine products are kept or in the first aid screened-off area with the other heat pads.

I bring back really bad cramps every month and I go to my gynocologist. She suggested 800mg IBU's. They seem to work great. Have to repeat doses every 6 hours, but it really works for me. You may want to be paid sure you don't have anything more serious though, approaching cists or something, so always best to look in the doctor. Also try to avoid anything with caffiene since and during your monthly cycle. It prevokes the cramps even more.Aleve takes my mentral pains away. I thieve two of them when they start.
