it's simply call M S M on the label. it's for inflammation. it isn't a drug and i found it reasonably effective.
your doctor is one of the more sensible. he doesn't believe you need an addiction.

Good luck. I don't deduce they will prescribe anything that works. The only things that work are narcotics. My doc prescribed some Hydrocodone for me. I would pinch two at a time and they did nothing. I stopped taking them.so frequent Dr are afraid to write for painkillers esp if you are /or appear to be drug seeking. if he thinks your injury be not that severe he has an license to up hold. you can other seek another Dr assessment
