Elbow hurts!!?


ok so yesterday i turned the corner and SMASHED my elbow into the wall. If feels close to i bruised the bone nd it seems a bit swollen. It hurts to keep it totally straight and if i poke it i can discern a bruise. So basically what im asking is should i see a doctor and what else could it b besides a bruised bone? I KNO its not broken or fractured.

you probaly hit your funnt bone, it particularly sensitive and brusies easily, only rest it for a day or so, hang on to moving it so it doesnt get stiff!! once the bruise heal youll be back to typical

I do that ALL THE TIME. It hurts for a while but you'll be fine. If it still hurts really bad after resembling 5 days, you should get it x-rayed to see if you hold any hair-line fractures. Just be nice to it and make sure you don't thud it again. You might want to put some ice on it every very soon and then. You can even thieve an ibprofen to reduce the swelling if it get really bad.

Rest: Rest and protect the injured nouns.

Ice: Apply ice to the injury. The cold will drop off swelling and pain at the injured site. This step should be done as soon as possible. Apply the frozen baulk to the area for 20 minutes three times a light of day for the first 48 hours.

Compression: Compress the injured site. This will decreases swelling of the injured region. Although the wrap should be snug, bring in sure it is not too tight as this can cause numbness, tingling, or increased discomfort.

Elevation: Elevate the injured area above the rank of the heart as much as possible. This technique will also assist in reducing the amount of swelling to the injured site.

Once the stomach-ache and swelling are eliminated, you should start gradual array of motion exercises but not to the point of pain. Each morning your range of motion will increase slightly. Continue until you hold complete range of motion. Than start kind strengthening exercises to re-build the strength in the elbow.

The stiffness will go away over time.
