A "lesser cataract" is a film that forms over the lens bud in approximately 98% of adjectives cataract patients. It is remedied by a very express laser procedure called a Yag posterior laser capsulotomy, eyeglasses cannot correct this. To put it simple your eye is dilated and in smaller quantity than 2 minutes the lens is "cleaned" off by the laser. It not something that ever have to be repeated, there is not an iota pain and by the subsequent day you perceive improved mirage. This will return your vision to what it be after the cataract surgery, it will not improve it beyond that. This procedure have very few risks and is hugely common. It is deem to be medically beneficial, when the small risk is outweighed by the benefit, vision drops below 20/40 underneath normal conditions and 20/80 for grimace. It is also covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance

A secondary cataract is where on earth the membrane that holds the lens starts to cloud. The laser surgery will clear the membrane allowing you to see clearly again. It takes nearly 15 minutes or so and is nearly painless. It may cause your eye to wet a bit. I have have both surgeries done on both eyes.
