Help quitting smoking?


My fiance and I decided yesterday that we are going to quit smoking. We are both coming up on 10 years, and I touch like if I don't quit immediately I never will. I plan to get the prescription to mitigate the withdrawls but the psychological addiction is the real problem. Does anybody out nearby have any warning for me? I think almost things like watching movies where on earth people are smoking, and what I will do when I'm at the public house drinking hanging out near my friends, what I will do on break at work, the list go on and on. Any and all proposal will be greatly appreciated.

As someone who have quited smoking successfully, I can tell you in a minute, first of all, forget going on for gums and other prescriptions, they fail surrounded by most of the cases, i know the withdrawal is horrible, i used to smoke two pack (yes 40 cigarettes) a day, but it will later only a couple of days and after that you will start sense wonderful, rediscovering how things really smell and how does food really savour. not to mention other advantages.

First of all, don't ask you why it is well to quit smoking, we all are aware of what tobacco can do, but start grilling yourself "why do I smoke?" write down your possible answers and Analyze them, you ll find soon that you smoke by plain stupidity.

Second, write down the time of day you have a feeling the urge to smoke, and what were you doing, after some days, it will donate you a clue on why you think you requirement it. perhaps it be boredom or stress. (and this also works for overweight and stress management)

Third, stop buying tobacco at all, you may want to ask any of your friends at first for a smoke, but surrounded by no time, you will feel dismayed by keeping doing that and will quit asking for them too.

I know this is not a method that may work for everyone, but i was a cuff smoker and it did wonderfully for me, I haven't had a smoke in a minute for almost 3 years, I do still remember the first week, it was a hell, but if you preserve on mind the part of "why do I smoke" you may turn trough it, finding in no time the smell of tobacco disgusting.

Chew gum, stay away from the bars for at tiniest 2 weeks and change your break behaviour.
It is very key that you plan these things and DO them. Read a book, do a puzzle, eat a piece of fruit, Best wishes, it's a VERY HARD need to break but not impossible, you'll be glad you did when you see your teeth whiter, taste your food better, and your clothes smelling fresher. I've be there, I know.

When I quit I have a HUGE problem with the psychological constituent. I found that constantly having a supply of Blowpops be an enormous sustain. It helped next to the hand to mouth piece. And stick of the blowpop is white just similar to a cigarette. I would stay away from bars and drinking until you own at least a month lower than your belt of not smoking. When you take breaks, you will realize you really don't entail a break. So, instead of smoking you will need to find something to flood break time. I also found that once it had be 2-3 weeks my sense of smell came final and once you smell cigarettes on other people you are blown over by how much it really stinks. That be a great deterrent for me as well. I of late didn't want to smell that way. Good luck to you! The first 2 weeks are the roughest. Just filch it one day at a time.
