In the CPT guide , what is the name for extra information about a code roofed in the parenthesis ?
If there is anyone who can extend advice on the documents exam I would appreciate that as well.
Thanks

it is called a modifier
why do you bring "charlie horses"?
I believe it's just call parenthetical information. It can be additional information to guide you to a more appropropriate code, or it could be something close to "separate procedure" for coding a minor procedure that doesn't go along beside the global code.P.S. Which certify body are you going to test beside?
Tereca is correct: it is a modifier. Just make sure you recognize the difference between essential and non-essential modifiers.
