How can i tell if i broken my knees?

i bent it backwards today, and despite asking to go to the hospital population seemed to guess it would be fine. it doesnt hurt so much that i cant walk on it, however whenever i elevate it, to say climb the stairs...i bring an agonising shooting pain. it is also particularly swollen. i know knee's are tricky so was wondering if anybody else think im over reacting?!!

NO, you're not overreacting. It's probably not broken but you could've sprained it unsuccessfully, caused some violate to tendons or ligaments. You should get it checked out, better to be nontoxic.
