My throat hurts... alot?

Ok, for the past week and a partly now my throat have constantly hurt. Whenever I swallow, if it is food or just saliva it hurts even more, and I also quality like I enjoy a cold, what is it?

Strep throat is a bacterial infection of the tissues in the wager on of the throat and the tonsils. The tissues become irritated and inflamed, causing a sudden, severe sore throat.

What cause strep throat?

Strep throat is caused by streptococcal (strep) microbes. There are many different strains of strep microbes, some of which cause more serious bad health than others. What are the symptoms?

However, if you do not hope treatment for strep throat, you may continue to be contagious for 2 to 3 weeks even if your symptoms run away.

In general, sore throats are most repeatedly caused by a viral infection and not strep microbes. Strep throat does not occur near coldlike symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, or a runny or stuffy nose. The more coldlike symptoms you hold, the less potential it is that your sore throat is a strep infection.

How is strep throat diagnosed?
