I own to get various shots today, but I am deathly afraid of needles. What can I do to ease the cramp?

My mom has one of those "Shot-blockers", but how does it work?? Is within any over the counter meds I can take or rime it or etc. ??

Take some ibuprofen beforehand you go. Also when your getting the shot don't look at it because that's what make it hurt worse: your fear. But most importantly of adjectives, do NOT flex or tense up. When you flex your doctor have to push the needle harder to achieve through the hard muscle. When the muscle is soft and relaxed, the process is really painless.
