Sciatica?? severe left thigh strain and numbness from hip to just above knees?

I had total rt hip replacement and own to sleep on my left side--can't sleep on posterior because of sleep apnea. Now I wake up at hours of darkness with SEVERE BURNING cramp and have to achieve up for it to stop. Very, very desperate.
