I presume I have a slight foot pronation, but I don't really know what that system. Can someone explain it to me?


Can you tell me what it is and what the risks of have it are? Oh, and im 14 and run a mile or two a day.

What is pronation?

Pronation is simply a run of the mill foot in motion, from foot-strike on the outside of the heel through the inward roll of the foot. Pronation occur as the foot rolls from the outer edge to the inner brink. Everyone pronates, and the initial pronation is considered an important and in shape response to the intense amount of shock imposed upon the foot and is integral to propelling you forward. If the foot pronates too much or too little and does so frequently, several biomechanical problems may result that will cause a fall in concert and increase the possibility of injury

pronation technique the bottom of your feet is turned slightly outwards, this can bring damage to the ankle nouns and other discomforts, you might be able to procure special shoes for that, since you are young, probability are you will grow out of it, so no worries.
