Definition of destruction?

When a person is limp, is this based upon the heart no longer battering or lack of brain side, or a combination? I mean within a hospital a patient's heart stops, they try CPR and electrical stimulation to restart it but after a time they stop and pronounce death. What go into that call?

I think that even "Medically" speaking; that the human body is as a gears or machine if you will. Though fearfully and wonderfully made. In that since the heart is the "pump" of the body and the "brain" is the controller of the body. If you separate any of the rest of the components, while hinder the optimal function of the body, it still functions.

I would assume when the heart stops beaing and there is no alternative channel to restart it and keep it working, the individual is dead.I don't guess brain inactitity is a call for loss. this may pose far more questions on the legalty for taking one rotten life support when the heart is functioning clearly, but the brain is inactive.
