Surgical procedure going away open wound that wont alleviate?

this is a really yucky question i know...but i enjoy to ask it. thanks to any who respond beside real fluency of the problem. my cousin had surgery within december to remove a gland on her upper an inner thigh. the wound never healed properly and disappeared a hole on the outside of her inner thigh that was in the region of the size of a nickel. when she used a mirror to look at it she could see there be also still an open wound up surrounded by that wound. when she went for her follow up her doc told her it would alleviate. it didnt. she went wager on in around 2 months ago so they could stitch up the wound on the inside. the stitches took and that wound is healing. but the wound on the outside still hasnt heal. it has gotten smaller, but surrounded by just the ending few days, 2 new small holes enjoy appeared. her doctor still dismisses that anything is wrong,. just keep giving meds and creams. ive told her to go for a 2nd judgment but in the meantime does anyone out in attendance know why its still open close to that? thanks

Tell her to step see a plastic surgeon, they deal profoundly with those type of wounds.

Knee problems?

Poor entry! I had a C-section surrounded by 2003 which got infected. They have to open it, irrigate, and after pack it with 3 yard of guaze 3 times a day. It be a large space and very bloody, but it did heal completely within 8 weeks. I do know that I had to wrap it contained by sulifane to bathe.
I dunno what size it be to begin beside, but mine was comparatively large (enough for a babe-in-arms to come out). I would get a second oppinion. There could be a lower infection which may need treatment immediatly.

samething happen to me in feb. Tell her to draw from a second opinion. My doctor told me after surgery that if it didn't treat up that it more then promising was a stitch underneath the skin that was irritating it. He told me to come spinal column in 3 months freshly recently and if it hadn't heal by then that he would stretch out it up under a local and clutch the stitch out.

Go to a wound clinic or a physical therapy clinic that offer wound care. The presence of brand new wounds is disturbing and shouldn't be ignored. i hold worked in wound attention in hospital and enjoy seen and treated things that would turn most peoples stomachs. i'll spare you the details. if the unmarked wounds are connected to the initial one(called tunneling), this would indicate that the wound is definately not healing ably. in the meantime, hang on to the wound as clean as you can, don't tolerate it dry out. a warm, drizzling wound is healthier than a dry one. keep watch on out for odors and changes within the amount and color of the drainage coming from the wound. overall, take this into your own hand and go see a wound consideration specialist!
