Urinating blood?

My friend has have abdominal pains for a few weeks even months now.. and he just now got a CAT scan and found out that it be a torn abdominal. Ever sence he received the CAT scan he started urinating blood.. which at first we thought it might have be the dye from the scan but now its 2 weeks after that and its still happening. There is no other discomfort besides his ab muscle. What could it be?
