Cold Sores?

I have a huge kink on my lip. It hurts like zilch I have ever feel before. I do capture cold sores every now and afterwards. I started getting them back when I be an avid athelet. But all the cold sores i enjoy had started stale like zits but next became scabby and spread across my lip-gross i know! but this mat on my lip is killing me and want travel away no matter what benevolent of treatment i use and i have have it for about a week. is this a cold sore or something else and how can i go and get rid of it or atleast the pain.

L-Lysine supposedly help to prevent them, I'm a little skeptical. You may involve to get a prescription for this. Most race don't realize that cold sores like this are cause by Herpes simplex type 1 virus. The doc can give you a topical med and an oral anti-viral.
