I get some sinful migraines and some of the things that work for me besides strong pain medication are going into the bedroom and lying down (eyemask, ear plugs) to block out adjectives light and nouns. I have a cloth purse I filled near dry barley and I heat that surrounded by the micro but you could use a hot water bottle and put that at the back your neck. The roast draws the blood away from the throbbing eye area and calm it down. I don't find cold helps as much, it a moment ago distracts from the pain. I usually surface nauseus so I take a Zantac 75 which is in a minute available without a RX. A specialist told me they did a study within England where migraine sufferers took more or less 6 regular aspirin at the 1st sign of one and it helped but I tried it and it didn't work for me. I have acupuncture but that also did not cure my migraines. They are definitely connected to alcohol for me - 1 small drink - it's not worth it! I also find chocolate is a trigger and definitely stress. My daughter call it my Christmas migraine every year. Sad.
Drink peppermint tea and inhale the vapors...Peppermint is a natural remedy...
