Pain localized to the thumb?


1 day second week i woke up and i assume that i must have slept on my arm the wrong opening because it was stiff and sort of numb. around 30 minutes or so i reach over to grab something rotten of the table and i got a shot of dull pain in my thumb on my moved out hand. the distress was approaching a numbness tingling mixed with 100 needles getting stuck at the tip of my thumb that last for 2,3 seconds. it have done it before possibly a month or so but hasnt done it since last week. after trying to look it up on google and webmd the individual thing i can come up near is maybe carpal tunnel. would of late like to know if anyone else have experinced this or if there is a condition professional who might read this and give me some better insight.
