Both my daughter and I counter this way to ant bites as we enjoy mild allergies to the darn things. Have your daughter take some Benadryl and next apply some Benadryl lotion or cream to the spot. Applying a paste of baking soda and wet (mix until the two form a paste) can also help - you apply the mash and leave it on until it dries. If she have trouble breathing, call the doctor as it may be a more serious allergic reaction to the bite. If the Benadryl doesn't help near the swelling (give it about 12 - 24 hours) also ring up the Doctor. Good luck.
