A question for those who successfully manage to quit smoking?


Which product would you say is the best to serve you quit, which also helps next to the awful side effects like colds and response aggressive and agitated? Are there any really forceful ones out there?

Cold turkey. That's how I finally quit after trying 4 times. All you stipulation is to really, really want to quit. You need to be staunch. I used my children as my motivation and determination.

i have my last cigarette on july 24th 2006 at 430pm at 435pm the little blue procession appeared confirming i was pregnant and i haven't touched one since! (sorry if i nouns smug but am sooooo pleased with myself i have previously tried and failed)

I be only successful after quitting cold turkey, next to a bit of planning. I devoted an entire week of vacation to use as my quitting time. The first week is hell, and I slept as much of that time as i could (you're not craving when you're sleeping ).
The cause i took off for a week is because it's easier to quit when you're not frustrated or dealing beside stress at work.

i used nicorette chewing gum for a few days but i dont mull over i really needed it. it was simply a bit of back up. i go from 40 a day to none short problems because i truly believed i would never smoke again. i bought a load of boiled sweets and nuts etc . things to do instead of smoking. i have no side effects and didnt get aggressive. within my mind i was a non smoker. if you can convince yourself of that reality you wont have any problems. ive be a non smoker for 6 years and i love it

I quit 2 years ago after smoking for 40 years , and it be my 3rd attempt, I used nicotine chewing gum at first, also multi B vitamins helped next to nerves and stress. I also found deep breathing cooperative. The main item is never give up giving up.

Why i discern so dizzy after smoking?

I had Laser Therapy over two years ago and haven't looked hindmost. I opted for this because I hold no will power. I've had no side effects, sore throats, colds, chest infections NADA. It cost me lb100 (think cost have gone up slightly) - but it was the best money I've spent contained by my life.

Doesn't issue which route you go - you REALLY MUST WANT TO STOP - or it won't work! I be actively looking forward to my first appointment - and didn't need to shift back for my third. I tried the patch - didn't work for me at adjectives.
I went cold turkey and it wasn't fun, but it worked. The trick for me was not to throw out adjectives the cigarettes - I carried cigarettes with me. That channel I didn't feel close to something was individual taken away from me - but rather that I be making a conscious decision every time I considered necessary a cig to do the right thing for my body/health by not succumbing to the craving.
I don't know why but psychologically it made all the difference. That be ten years ago.
Occassionally I will smell/see someone lighting up and feel that frail craving but I know I'll never give contained by because I never want to have to jump through the process of quitting again - plus I think something like all the reason I quit in the first place.

Good luck to you. Know that you will get the impression and look so much better when you're free from cigarettes. You'll never have to operation with that stale smell contained by your clothes and hair again. You'll also enjoy a lot more money within your pocket. It's great for your self esteem to conquer this addiction. You can do it.

I quit 3 weeks and 4 days. I started taking Chantix a week in the past my quit date. So far it has worked ably. I still have cravings but a smaller amount and fewer everyday. I enjoy found out that no craving last for more than 3 minutes, so a short time ago watch the clock and you will be amazed. I smoked for more than 30 years and smoked close to 2 pack a day. If I can do this anyone can. I quit strictly for the money, I know specifically sad that it wasn't for my robustness, but honestly it wasn't. So far I have save $200. Not a bad start to a nice leave to celebrate person a non-smoker. Oh! every night I relay myself " You are a non-smoker" sounds kinda hokie but it is working. Good Luck I know you can do this.

quit cold turkey. i was driving and listen to a program about how much it cost a week, month, and year to smoke. i be cured. i have better things to do near my money than to slowly and methodically kill myself. no problem next to withdrawals.

whats the downside of a morphine pump?

the best channel to quit is to not "finish that last pack" (for example yo yo dieting, when they vote i'll start my diet sunday.)

if you want to quit - do i right now - don't put it sour, or else you will never quit.

some things to lessen the withdrawal
1. have support from a friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, family
2. buy some nicorette gum so wean your body sour of nicotine
3. keep yourself busy, & find time to jump away some place. with someone who can cheer you up or manufacture you laugh.
4. STAY AWAY from smokers or situations where on earth there would be smokers.
5. to sustain with the oral fixation, buy lollipops, gum, sucking candy, rime.
6. seriously find a new hobby of some sort, close to going to the gym everyday, biking, hiking, planting, anything "new".

just remember the first 2 weeks are the worst!

I give up smoking with Nicquitin Clear patch id tried other patch in the recent past but i had fearful nightmares with them .
I also tried tablets from the Dr but i only carried on smoking
I have be a x smoker now for 21 months
You really own to want to give up smoking for anything to enjoy a chance to succeed .
When you are craving grasp moving to take your mind of a cigarette .
Walk up the stairs , put the kettle on do anything to save busy while you are craving . Remember the craving only last about a minute or two it merely feels approaching hours

You have to really want to be a non smoker or it wont work.i used nicorette patch and was fine i did bear up a hobby to take my mind stale things, but nothing stressfull.

I used Chantix which is a prescription medication. I had tried lots of things in times gone by that didn't work. I haven't smoked in over 5 months. It is so straightforward to quit with Chantix. I would recommend it for anyone.
