How much will surgery hurt?

i'm getting surgery to fix a hammer toe. i''ve never have surgery before, and i'm really on edge as to how i'm going to feel when i rouse up

oh my goodness i so know the fear, I had my tonsils out nearly 3 years ago and i also had never have surgery so i was really upset...when you wake up you will get the impression a little disorientated from the antistatic assume they are putting you beneath...before the surgery the antistegeologist will come within and explain what they are going to do and how they are going to do it...they are going to ask you a series of questions in the order of how your day be and what you did then they are going to ask you to count down from 10 but up to that time you reach 9 you will be sleeping. So similar to i said you will feel a short time disorientated from that, you will also be in some twinge maybe closely or a little...the nurses and doctors will ask you on a mount from 1-10 i would say other say 10 so that you can be as comfortable as possible they will hold on to asking you about your throbbing for about 2 hours along beside putting fluids in you so in all actuality you should surface pretty calm after the stomach-ache meds is administered and keep have them give you some discomfort stuff so that when you get home your not so self-conscious that you can't sleep.when you get home most promising you will sleep for a good 8-10 hours and when you rouse up you will probably be craving the best McDonald's in the whole world...economically i hope this helps and obedient luck with your surgery tomorrow i hope everything go well...and unsurprisingly your toe looks amazing.

Rosie, ask your surgeon if he will do an "ankle block". This can be done during the surgery and the effects of the block will work for hours. I've have foot surgery and really don't remember any pain. You will also seize pain medication to rob for when you need it.

I am an R.N. I see this greatly, actually. I am not going to tale. There is going to be pain and discomfort. But, I am sure it is not as doomed to failure as you are thinking it is going to be. The doctors will immediately afford you pain medication.

During your time in the recouping room, the medicines will wear rotten, and you will become more awake.
