Has anyone have a spinal fusion? and if so did it work for you?

i recently have it done and im wondering if ill ever be completely painless. or close to it..

IT WILL BE! don't despair. i have it done when i was nearly 22 (i'm 31 now) and i well remember the horrific affliction i felt for several months afterwards, thinking i would never fully recover and hold a painless day. i spent my unharmed recovery contained by a deep depression.

but immediately, many years following, i'm fully recovered and don't grapple at all near daily discomfort. unfortunately, that will transport a long while to get to. probably not ten years, but at tiniest one year, though as with adjectives sorts of recovery, respectively day is better than the light of day that preceded it.

nowadays, i try to save my back strong beside regular yoga, which i highly recommend. other times if i'm doing strenuous hum like moving, i will also go and get pain and soreness, but i envisage anyone who spends a whole year moving an apartment gets that. i still also hold a scoliosis curvature in my spine fatefully, though it's much smaller than it was in the past my operation.

good luck to you. and know that within is a full recovery awaiting you at the downfall of this ordeal, but please don't try to rush it -- give yourself the time to restore to health and the right to occasionally feel fruitless. you've been through deeply and you're entitled. :-)

I injured myself in the groin area 2 months ago that give the impression of being to now affect my hip. Any suggestions on soothing?

There are a lot of types of spinal fusion, and it's sturdy to know what exactly you had. It also depends on how serious the problem be. It should basically work pretty okay if the surgeon did the job right. If it stays really painful you call for to go subsidise or get a second inference. As a chiropractor we do our best to prevent the need for surgeries, but closely of people hold them and do fine. You have to realise that you still hold a weak spot near and they can and do come back, so you still hold to do an exercise program, and watch how you sit, bend and heave. All the best.
