but i am now surrounded by so much pain I can't sleep & my ear feel really wet inside & its oozing gunk still.

Flucoxacillin is usually in tablet format and is an antiseptic that tell me you have an infection in your ear if your doctor have given you this then it is an infection, what help me was getting a melt towel or something of that sort and sleeping on it like a hot wet bottle covered in a towel but not too hot.
only just so that it stays warm. an ear infection can be really painfull try taking a paracetamol or some benign of painkiller flucoxacillin is serene strong but will take it's time. don't stop taking it

The root ur doc gave u the prescribed tablets is because they r antibiotics and to be precise the proper apoproach for an infected ear.

U must give the medication time to work, around 3 to 4 days or more, after u bring last tablet, the medication still is working for sometime after.

Its the infection thats cause u the pain, once the antibiotoics enjoy ran their course the strain usuall settles down after 2 or more days derpending on how bad the infecftion is and if ur a prompt healer/

If the pain get worse and/or u feel dizzy after go stern to ur doc who may either impart u another dose of same tabs or put u on a stronger antiiotic, after first checking ur ear again. Dont poke cotton buds in ur ear as it could sort matters worse. U can easilly finish off up with a perforate ear drumk wh
