Please Help! Gave blood two days ago, now sharp anguish when I bend my elbow.?

I gave blood two days ago. The woman had problems getting my blood to flow vigorous enough. She come over and had to save moving the needle around contained by my arm. She finally found a position for the needle that allowed my blood to come out faster. It took give or take a few 15 minutes to fill up my daypack. The area where on earth the needle have been did hurt and it have a bruise around it, but I figured that the discomfort would dance away (and it has, at least possible in the nouns right around where the hypodermic went in).

So hurried forward to yesterday morning. I noticed that whenever I lift my arm to brush my teeth, or put my shirt on, there be a sharp pain surrounded by my elbow. I tried different positions, and sometimes it doesn't hurt but if I lift it up and consequently straighten it out, there is a sharp discomfort in the put money on of my elbow where the bone is. I can press at the spot where on earth it hurts the most. So has anyone have anything like this arise after donating blood? What was it, how long did it finishing? Any help would be greatly appreciated

This can happen.

Most probable, you have developed a hematoma at the site where on earth the blood was taken. It's happen to me before. It's no big operate. It was sore for a week or so and afterwards it was fine (except for the rainbow of colors my arm was).

A hematoma is a collection of blood below your skin. You can use ice to treat it and hold an over-the-counter pain reliever (Advil, Tylenol). DO NOT whip aspirin.

If your arm has not superior within a week, see your doctor. Just remember, when you supply blood, a large plunger is used and that can hurt.

I had a routine blood try-out. When the needle be pulled out there be a sharp pain at the site (elbow) and resulted contained by a bruise. It ended up as a hematoma. I be in stomach-ache for a long time-Jan-June 07(6 months). I feel better very soon. It still hurts when I strain my arm. I had see docs and nobody did anything much excepting for saying it will turn away in three months max. Using bengay help me through. I trust that medication.
