Anyone know any good methods to seize to sleep easier?

They will give you tablets in your IV dash to put you to sleep and it is a warm fuzzy outlook. You will wake up within recovery and grain sleepy but fine. Once you have urinated and drank something you should be all set to go home if it is light of day surgery. They will make 4 tiny inscisions in your knees to do the surgery so you won't be able to see the scar. I am not sure about the dull pain but they will give you a prescritpion for throbbing medicine formerly you leave the hospital. Since you are 17 PLEASE request that they relay you everything they tell your mother. This is YOUR knees surgery not hers and they should be talking to you as all right as to your mother.

i took a nap today, and it's almost 11 and i'm not tired. How do i nose-dive asleep?

At 17 while it's young to enjoy surgery, your recovery rate will be better than someone elder than you. Yes, you will be off your foot for awhile, but they may give you a imprint or a brace so that you don't put pressure on your knee while it's uplifting. Bone & cartilage tend to take time to restore to health, and I honestly don't know how long it will be before you'll be walking usually. Before surgery, they put you to sleep with anesthetics (usually, any in gas form surrounded by a mask over your obverse or an IV in your arm), and it doesn't hurt. When you rouse up, you'll be in a bed near something on your knee holding it in place, and you'll be over the fear-provoking part. Then you own to just restore to health. That's the part that steal the longest.

But why don't you speak with any your mother or your doctor yourself and get some of these answers yourself and you won't be so panicky.

If you get a punch on the obverse from someone, when do you feel the stomach-ache?

I had my first knees surgery when I was 16. AND I am have extensive ankle surgery next week, so I surface all of your anxiety.

They will pass you an IV so that they can administer an antibiotic and the anesthesia. They may have you count put money on from 10 (I never made it past 8). One second you will be awake and the subsequent second you will be waking up. It feel almost instantaneous to you. If you feel spasm when you start to come around, let your nurse know and she can distribute you something to help it. Just rob a deep breath and relax. I know you are over-sensitive, but try to get a flawless nights sleep the darkness before. You probably won't be capable of eat or drink anything former midnight on Thursday, so make sure you enjoy a good dinner. Remember that everyone at hand is there to backing you and if you have any niggle or fears, talk to them. You will probably not own to spend the night any.

Good luck. And remember, when this is all over, you won't enjoy the pain or clicking anymore. And i.e. a wonderful feeling.

Cystitis :(?

No worries...I have this done twice once at 15 and again at 17. The procedure is pretty common. You will give up your job the hospital the same light of day. Pain will be there but bearable. You will move about to sleep and wake up only fine. Proabably takes nearly 3 hours for the surgery...longer to wake up from the anesthesia. I doubt they will cut uncap the whole knees...most likely influence it which leaves tiny little scars, just about noticable. The worst part for me is wake up...they keep the repossession rooms very cold to lessen the destiny of bacteria surrounded by the room. But when you wake up they will put a thaw out blanket over you to warm you up. Also, the anesthesia made me a moment or two sick to my stomach. I puked the first time but not the second.
Basically, you don't have much to verbs about. When you are fully recovered your knees will feel similar to new. It is definately worth it. Good luck!
