Does anyone know how I can procure a free mattress? I'm disabled, in spasm, desperate?

I know this might be stupid, but I'm disabled, permanently, from lifting patients, collapsed 2 disks, have surgery, didn't work, now my mattress have sink holes, I put 2 egg crate foams to pad it, it still cause me severe pain to sleep within it. I can't afford a pillowtop mattress, heck, I'm 40 & never owned any new furniture, adjectives hammydowns, which i was glad to acquire. but this, I can't sleep in any more. since I'm immediately on social security, a total $700 a month, I can't save a nickel. Does anyone know of a program or charity that would give support to me? I've never asked for anything, but I'm desperate now, any guidance would be helpful

You can try freecycle. It's a yahoo group that tries to keep things out of the landfill and ends up serving more than that purpose. People end up de-cluttering their homes and garages and post things that they are giving away for free on this group and consequently people can request that item. The same go for someone looking for a particular item. Each chapter have it's owns rules but the general purpose of this group is to present and receive items rather than throw them away. I enjoy seen nation give away mattresses, cars, clothes, furniture, paint....etc, etc. Go to yahoo groups and look up freecycle, next find one that is within a city nearest you and join. Feel free to e-mail if you enjoy any questions! I don't know if they will hold one in your nouns, but it's worth a try. Another option is craigslist. It's a website where on earth you can post items for free, to barter, to sell...etc etc. Good luck!

They hold a section for "wanted" things, and also for "free'' things. check in your nouns and see if you can find anything.

What is it bug bites or something else?

Go to a place where on earth they sell them and ask if they know of any programs beside situations like yours. They do it for the little cart people drive. if they want to manufacture a sell, after they may help. it doesn't hurt to ask.
I devise asking a church group may help too.
Also progress to where they market medical equipment. Sometimes people donate vertebrae theirs for the needy when a loved one is done near theirs or has passed on. That is what I plan to do next to mine (walker with seat).
