doesn't issue whether u were lay down or sitting.. when u stand, it changes the blood flow ,,, it have to travel further standing up...
plus the fact the strain on the leg is involved.. it tend to add some pressure on the foot which travels up the leg.. any damages bones, tissues, muscles, or ligaments.. are lower than pressure as well..
