I used to work on the *** counter at the Co-op and for some rationale I remember a 10 pack of Regal cost 95p I think the cheap fags be lb1.60 and a brand name going on for lb1.80. When I started smoking in about 1989 they be 75p for 10 and lb1.50 for 20. With inflation, I would suggest that they were roughly speaking lb1.70 in 1990.
