Well I got stern from the beach surrounded by san diego today, and the temperature be cool, about 75 degree, it was blowing hard, and cloudy. When I got nearby, I was truly disappointed because it WASNT sunny. Yet I managed to find sunburned and Im red as a tomato!! Was it because of the salt and cold marine combination?

Some of my worst burns hold come on cloudy days... If the cloud cover is thin, the UV rays still come through. We tend not to use sun peak on days with clouds, so even though the rays are reduced, we are more adjectives. We also spend more time under clouds instead of coming in in a minute and then close to we would on sunny days... All that adds up to a obnoxious burn...

Remember, never put creams or sprays on a sunburn during the first 24 hours... you are trapping the heat contained by the skin and you can make it worse even if it feel better. Longer burns raise the risk of skin cancer down the road. Even one impossible burn can raise the coincidence of skin cancer, so always pinch precautions to avoid future burns...
