Lobster pic poked my thumb, do i inevitability a tetanus shot ?

I was intake crab w/a lobster pic when I accidently poked my thumb. Felt the pic went within pretty deep. Since later I have alot of foot pain but no detectable signs of bruising,etc. It's been a week and get the impression alot of pain surrounded by my thumb/hand area. Would I entail a tetanus shot?

The tetanus shot is something you get BEFORE an incident...so it would be too behind time.

However, it may just be infected since it be pretty deep and would be intricate to clean. My suggestion, buy some hydrogen peroxide and pour it into the wound. This is great for disinfecting and will bubble up as it kills germs, etc... Run atmosphere warm river over the wound area (and into it) for more or less 3 minutes. Rinse again with HP, apply Neosporin (or a similar antibiotic rub. Do this at lowest 1x a day for 2 days and see if it improve (it should esp. the pain). If it doesn't make an appointment to a doctor.

It is a little behind time to think around a tetanus shot now but if it have been over 7 years since your finishing one then yes you want to get one.
