Wythenshawe Hospital?

Hi i was wondering if anybody go to or works at wythenshawe hospital, even better if you use the chest clinic. The problem is i am 16 and i am soon being transferred from Manchester childrens hospital to Wythensawe hospital because i will be to ripened to use childrens services soon and i am quite worried. I suffer from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which means i enjoy weak muscles, within a wheelchair and am prone to chest infections. My friend who also has the condition say that they dont understand the condition and she refuse to go within. But the Dr that i am under very soon at the hospital says that i enjoy to be transferred and she says that at hand chest clinic is one of the best and that they will fully understand my condition. Also i inevitability my mum with me adjectives the time because she is my carer as i need help out with dressing, toileting, even turning at darkness and with it mortal an adult hospital i dont have an idea that they will allow her to stay over with me. If anybody can lend a hand me please do, i am really scared!

Hi, my husband have a heart transplant there 2 years ago, and believe me, i suppose they are great. The staff are brilliant and will look after you and your family and i can't recommend them ample. My husband had loads of problems beside his recovery and they sorted him out, it took time but they get him there. They are great. The jim express ward, where you probably would budge if admitted, is fantastic, and i know most of the nurses still near. Email me if you want anymore info.

There is accomodation available to stay in, some bedsits (if you are in jim quick ward) and some bungalows on the grounds but its adjectives dependant on whether they are used by other family member of people within intensive care, but if you ring the outpatients and speak to the woman there, (she is lovely) she will try and sort it out for you. They will try and bend over backwards to backing if they can. I am 26 and all the staff treated me brilliant, they really looked after me as resourcefully as my hubby. I would have be a nervous wreck in need their help and support.

Hi,first sorry to hear in the region of your illness.I enjoy not heard of the hospital however the lad subsequent door has duplicate illness have you.He now go's to college you are growing up & going into the big world it is bound to create you scared.Bet after the first trip to the hospital you will sort new friends & find out the hospital take to mean you & maybe your mam can phone & ask give or take a few staying over with you.Good Luck Please permit us know how you get on.x

Sick or something worse?

Hi at hand, sorry to hear about your condition and I am sorry to say i really don't know much nearly it. But i do know this, about 5years ago i worked at this hospital and it is a obedient hospital, my husband has since be a patient and he have had no problems what so ever. You will find the Chest Clinic on the ground floor purely below Wilson and Doyle ward (these wards be named after two fundamentally good consultants who worked in that for many years) my father be a patient on Doyle Ward. They are upto speed on most illnesses and here problems, i should imagine they own dealt beside your condition before. Ask as lots questions as you similar to till you feel comfortable, Wythenshawe is one of the best chest hospitals surrounded by the country, good luck and give somebody a lift care.
