It all depends on what's cause it. You can gargle with heat up salt hose. Or you can gargle with a mix of 1 factor hydrogen peroxide to 5 parts of warm hose. That works good, but it can gag you if you don't use ample water. I found that out the knotty way. You can suck on cepecol throat lozenges and drink reheat tea or suck on Popsicles. Sometimes cold feels perfect and sometimes warm feel good, it adjectives depends on what part of the throat is hurting. If you look in the mirror and see any white spots on the posterior of your throat you should see you doctor because it might be strep throat and that needs to be treated near antibiotics.
