As a kid I used to play in the woods etc since they be everywhere. I can really only present you the 4 tips, but they always worked for me:

1. Aveeno Oatmeal Bath + lukewarm river.
2. Calamine lotion - apply liberally to legs.
3. Don't scrape!
4. Make sure you wash those pant before re-wearing them. The oil can get trapped on the cloth and if you have any accessible sores/scratches you'll just be giving it final to yourself.
