Man- If you have one you will know shortly- it will basically get worse! this should be a examination to see if you have one- pour some hydrogen peroxide on it. That guy was right roughly the MD- GO TO A PODIATRIST! If you do end up have an ingrown toenail try to get a referral to a podiatrist, or a chiropodist same thing) a bit than letting an MD do it. In my experience (ive had seven) the MDs do a much poorer situation with curing the problem. They tend to treat the symptom of the toenail a bit than addressing the root effect (back in the nailbed) Also a monetary issue, podiatists tend to be cheaper if you are paying out of pocket, but through an HMO you will obligation a referral from your doctor which might be an issue
